Ruth Hyba, the Hostess-Owner, has been serving guests with warm hospitality since 1968. She personally supervises the kitchen and has recently published a cook book, "Gourmet My Way".

Meals are carefully planned and "designed to give you a variety of nutritious food that is attractive to the eye and pleasing to the palate. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and safe salads!"
 

"'Ruth's place' is well known in San Miguel - many really interesting people come in for the breakfasts alone. What is special about this inn is the large number of interesting people who stay there - professionals of all sorts, and artists galore...we found the food very good. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Chilly nights brought firewood and a nice fire in the room. We will certainly return next winter, for a much longer time I hope. This year it was for 10 days."
